Oil Recycling

Used industrial oil are generated for several reasons:
- leaking systems
- scheduled maintenance
- contaminated fluid
- degraded fluid

The used oil not only creates storage and handling problems, it also
poses an environmental threat if not disposed of correctly.

Why recondition used oils?

Contamination of industrial oils is the main reason for equipment and
componet failure. Dirt, water, wear metals and other contaminants
reduce equipment life, cause unscheduled down-time and increase maintenance
and production costs. Unlike motor engine oils, hydraulic oils, gear
oils, lubricating oils and other industrial oils generally do not
deteriorate chemically, with use. Unless exposed to excessive temperatures,
external contamination with dirt and water is the likely cause of a
system change out. If these contaminants (solid, liquid and gaseous) are
removed, then the oil can be restored to an "as new" condition.Used oil
reconditioning can enable the user to save up to half the cost of new
oil, as well as eliminating the environmental liability associated with
used oil disposal.Couple these incentives with reduced maintenance
costs, reduced machine failures and longer equipment life, there are strong
economic advantages to employ used oil reconditioning technology.

Used oil recycling is non re-refining. The re-refining process
involves chemical and physical treatment of the oil, to reduce it back to a
base oil which required additive addition for lubricant performance.
