FLUID RECONDITIONING
Used industrial oils are generated for three reasons:The used oil not only creates storage and handling problems but also poses an environmental threat if not disposed of properly.
WHY RECONDITION USED OILS?
Contamination of industrial oils is a the main reason for equipment and component failure. Dirt, water, wear metal, and other contamination reduce equipment life, causing unscheduled down-time, and increase maintenance and production costs.
Unlike motor oils, hydraulic oil, gear oils, lubricating oils, and other industrial oils generally do not deteriorate chemically with use. Unless exposed to excessive temperatures, external contamination with dirt, water, or others will be the cause of a system change out. If these contaminants (solid, liquid, and gaseous) are removed, then the oil is restored to a like new, or better than new condition, for continued use.
Used oil reconditioning can enable you to save more than half the cost of new oil. In addition it will eliminate the environmental liability associated with used oil disposal. Couple those incentives with reduced maintenance costs, reduced failures, and longer equipment life, there are strong economic and environmental advantages to employ used oil reconditioning.
TECHNOLOGY
Used oil reconditioning is not re-refining. Re-refining is much more complex and involves chemical treatment of the oil, removing all components including additives.
Re-refining produces a base oil that must then be recharged with additives for continue use, and cannot be accomplished.
Oiltech embrace the latest technology to recondition used industrial oils.
