HYDROFLUID HFR
Polyol ester hydraulic fluids were designed to replace conventional mineral oils in an environment where a moderate degree of fire resistance is required. They are anhydrous synthetic fluids based on high quality organic esters. They are chemically and physically stable fluids formulated with an advanced additive package to provide high anti-wear and lubrication properties. Although these fluids pass the old Factory Mutual Standard as FRHF, it is now reported by Factory Mutual that they are not appreciably safer than mineral oil in their new FRHF standards. They are unsafe with respect to sustained sources of ignition commonly found in the aluminium and steel industry.
